Since being sworn in, Hillary Scholten has proven to her colleagues in Washington that she is a leader. She was elected as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus and appointed by Leader Hakeem Jeffries to serve on the Steering and Policy Committee.

She was additionally appointed Frontline Chair for NewDems Action Fund, has served as the Ranking Member of the Small Business Subcommittee on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Workforce Development, and has served as the Vice Ranking Member of the Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment.

Also, despite being a vulnerable freshman member in the battleground, she raised nearly $100,000 into her Leadership PAC to support candidates during her first term.
